Cadence Taylor signing

Soccer has almost always been a part of life for senior Cadence Taylor; he’s been playing since he was four years old. Now he’ll get four more years for the sport he loves. “It is very exciting for me and my family as this has been a goal for me for a long time,” he says. “It feels very finalizing and achieving to make this next step forward official.”

Scoring the game-winning goal against rival Plainwell his junior year will stand out as one of most memorable moments in high school, where he’s been a 4-year varsity player. He’ll continue at the center midfield position when he transitions to college. “I’m looking forward to the next level of intensity as I will be playing at one of the highest levels of talent in my sport, and the experience and opportunity that comes with playing at the collegiate level.”

Taylor has earned 1st Team All-Conference and 1st All-District honors as well as the 2024 Best Attacker for the team.

He has also been in the band in high school, and a part of club soccer. He plans to study biology with the goal of becoming a field biologist or research biologist. He’d like to thank God and his family and loved ones for helping him get to this point. “Without their support and motivation, I wouldn’t have had this success.”
