Running has been a big part of middle and high school for Taylor Mitchell and now it’ll be a part of her collegiate experience as well; she’s committing to run cross country and track and Hope College. “It’s super exciting to see a culmination of all my hard work paying off,” she says. “I’m looking forward to more opportunities, more competition, and the ability to run in different places across the country.”
“Winning the D2 state cross country championship in 2022” is her most memorable moment in high school among a lot of success in her high school career. In cross country, she was All-Conference (4x), All-Region (4x), team state runner ups; in track, she earned All-Conference, All-Region and All-State honors and was a part of the 4x800 All-State team. “A huge thank you to all my coaches who paved my path for success.”
Mitchell has been involved with National Honor Society, Links, Peer 2 Peer tutoring, ESS (Empowering Students to Serve) club, and STEM club. She plans to study psychology as an undergraduate then attend law school to become an attorney.
After years of hard work, Aidan Goodwin earns four more years in the sport he loves at Cornerstone University.
