Eyeing a career as a golf pro, Spencer Shearer will get a great start to that goal with his commitment as a University of Detroit Mercy Titan. “I am looking forward to progressing my golf skills at the next level and be able to represent the school,” he says. “I am also excited to further my chances of playing at the next level.” 

Shearer has been playing golf for six years and spends time on courses year-round. He’s made a State appearance twice and earned several honors in his three years. He’s been All-Conference each year; He was the Conference Champion his junior year when he also earned 1st Team All-State. He’s been 1st Team All-Region his sophomore and junior years and was the county champion those years, as well. He’s been the Team MVP all three years. He has his senior year ahead of him and high goals to continue his winning ways. Going to State with his team is one of his most memorable moments. 

Spencer is also a member of the Varsity Tennis team (4 years) and played JV basketball for two years. He plans to study Business Administration in hopes of becoming a golf pro.
