A part of Otsego swimming for 13 years, Morgan Foune is looking forward to being able to continue to compete, and now at the collegiate level. “I am looking forward to being on a team where everyone wants to be there and is as dedicated and as passionate about swimming as I am,” she says. “I am also looking forward to trying new events.” She’s also looking forward to meeting new people from all across the region and country.
Foune has had a lot of success in the pool earning All-Conference honors all four years and competing at State her last two years. She’s also been a team captain and earned Academic All-State honors. It was her goal to make it to State this year and she put in a lot of extra work and effort. That made for her memorable moment. “Belton (coach Darryl Belton) saw my effort at practices and thanked me for my dedication. One day at practice he pulled me aside and told me that season was all on him. As long as I continued to do everything I had been, his training would take me to state.” That it did.
Foune has also participated in track & field, tennis, National Honor Society (Vice President), Girl Scouts, Class Officer, Links and the ISA (International Student Ambassador) club.
She plans to pursue a career in Forensic Accounting with emphasis on obtaining her CPA.
A part of her life since she was 5 years old, Morgan Foune won’t stop swimming after graduation. She’s committed to joining the swim team at Aquinas.
Senior soccer standout, Haylee Dennany, will play at the next level, committing to Jackson College.
