Football player Ben Ernstes made it official to continue his academic and athletic career at Calvin University! Ernstes has been playing for 6 years, and will now play for 4 more!
“I never thought when I started playing football I would go on to play college football,” he says. “A new brotherhood of people to meet and support along with them supporting me. I really enjoy meeting new people and going to college is an amazing experience to do so.”
Ernstes was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference his senior year. His most memorable moments include the win against Sturgis that broke the losing streak for the varsity team, and beating our rival Plainwell that same year!
Ernstes has also been a part of Wrestling, Basketball, and Track & Field at OHS, along with participating in Boy Scouts. In college, he plans on majoring in nursing to become a nurse anesthetist.
A part of her life since she was 5 years old, Morgan Foune won’t stop swimming after graduation. She’s committed to joining the swim team at Aquinas.
Senior soccer standout, Haylee Dennany, will play at the next level, committing to Jackson College.
Senior softball player Cassie Holland is excited to get at least two more years of her favorite sport. She's planning to play at Glen Oaks CC.
Leaping into another four years of her sport, Nyla Reed is headed to GVSU.
Senior football player Gabe Cavazos is headed to Ohio to get four more years on the field.
