It’s been a part of her life for 10 years, and now Grace Blanchard can count on at least two more. She’s officially committed to play softball at Glen Oaks Community College after graduation.
“I am very excited to continue my sport in college. I’ve been playing for so long, and working hard over the years, that it feels very rewarding to be able to continue playing softball,” she says.
She still has her senior season left, but this shortstop/catcher was named 2nd team All-Conference, All-District and All-Region her sophomore year and was 2nd team All-Conference and All-District last year. The team has been very successful in her time on varsity. “My most memorable moment is winning Districts my sophomore year,” she says. This will be her third year on varsity and a captain on the team.
Along with softball, Blanchard has also been involved in volleyball, National Honor Society and Student Council. She plans to study business, “with the hope of owning my own business one day.”
