Yearbook

This club creates the yearbook for the school year.  Participants take photos, design the cover and pages, write captions and copy on the pages, sell ads, and a whole lot more!  It is a great activity for anyone who loves photography, graphic design, writing, marketing, or just being involved.  We meet during "family time" on RTI days, and once a week after school. Applications are available at the beginning of the school year from Mrs. Trometter in Room 134.

Yearbook Update:

On behalf of the yearbook staff, I would like to thank you for your order of the 2018 Comet Yearbook! Unfortunately, yearbooks will not be delivered prior to the end of the school year. Although this may be disappointing, there are actually some benefits that result from this delayed delivery.

Because the yearbooks will not arrive before students leave for the summer, we have decided to work on completing the spring section of the yearbook into the beginning of the summer and have all spring sports and events such as prom, swing-out, and graduation bound in the yearbook instead of given to students separately as a supplement later in the following year.  This means that the entire year will be included when students get their yearbooks.

An additional benefit is that this also allows us to continue yearbook sales until June 20th.  This means that anyone who has not yet purchased a yearbook and was waiting for the extras to go on sale still has an opportunity to guarantee that they get a yearbook.

The one disadvantage to having yearbooks arrive after the end of the school year is that students are not able to have their yearbooks signed by this year’s senior class.  To make sure that students still have this opportunity, we will be providing students who purchased yearbooks prior to May 15th an autograph section that can be added to the back of their yearbooks once they arrive.  These will be provided free of charge, and anyone who has already purchased an autograph section as a part of their yearbook package will be refunded the cost of the section.

We will have a yearbook distribution event on Thursday, August 23rd prior to the first home football game.  Students will be able to pick up their yearbooks on that date.  (Watch for more details as to time and location on the website and in the school bulletin and start of the year newsletter).  Any yearbooks not picked up on August 23rd will be delivered to students still in school the first week of the new school year.  Class of 2018 yearbooks that are not picked up on August 23rd will be available in the main office.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  Thanks again for your support of the 2018 Comet!
