It’s been a part of her life since she was four years old, so Mikayla Bryant is thrilled to be able to continue playing soccer at the next level. “It feels rewarding because I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am today. The soccer field is like my second home, so to continue playing soccer in college is like a dream come true,” she says.
She’s played position on the back line throughout high school and will continue that role at Lake Michigan College, “I am looking forward to new challenges that will make me a better all-around player,” she adds.
In addition to OHS soccer, she’s played travel soccer for Kingdom for two years. Looking back, she’s grateful for each moment on the field, “Honestly every moment on the field has created a memorable impact on my life. From the moment that I put on my jersey as a freshman and stepped onto the field, I knew that this is where I belonged,” she says.
Mikayla earned MIP and MVP honors in high school. She will pursue a career in nursing at LMC.
“I’m grateful for all of the support that I’ve had from my coaches, friends and family, on and off the field.”
